Overview of the academic programme
The visual artist in public relations communicates by way of image and text. This visual artist may work at the level of pre-production model development, he oversees all aspects of the preproduction/production processes (on-screen copy editing, text-image incorporation, illustration (adapting/adjusting for use), colour selection, numbering, photocopying, lighting, printing etc...).
In terms of the multimedia aspects of this profession, the visual artist creates the graphic design of a web site or a cd-rom.
In terms of communicating in spaces: organisation/design of commercial spaces, either of an advertising or cultural nature. The visual artist is directly involved in: trade fairs, the setting up of retail stores, the creation/setting up of commercial stands, the organisation/managing of special cultural events in museums or art galleries.
Degree awarded
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, the student is awarded with a BTS in Public Relations (specialising in visual communication) degree (a state-sanctioned degree equivalent to "Bac+2").
