Overview of the BTS in Business Management academic programme

Today's consumer is more experienced, more informed, and more demanding. Due to this, the role of business has evolved towards a personalisation of the 'sales pitch' and of customer relations in general, as well as of the development of relating support services. This new BTS academic programme has, as its goal, to create multi-tasking operations business managers capable of participating in the totality of commercial activities whether they be in a retail outlet or in more executive business management position.

The field of activity covers all of the operations relative to buying and selling and thus requires excellent communication skills, as well as being detail-oriented and self-disciplined.

This academic programme allows one to participate in the organisation of a broad range of commercial activities, from the strategic planning stages and the definition of concrete business objectives to the choice of differing buying and selling strategies, to researching optimum means of distribution to, finally, the carrying out of sales promotion strategies.

The BTS in Business Management allows one to enter four principle functions:

  • - Management - retail sector (retail outlet, agency (service, retail), commercial services, ...)

  • - Management - sales and marketing
  • - Market research analyst
The degree of autonomy with regards to one's various projects mainly depends on the size of the firm.

Upon successful completion of all course requirements, the student is awarded with a BTS in Business Management degree (a state-sanctioned degree equivalent to "Bac+2").
