Academic programme for BTS in Fashion, Textiles, and the Environment

Specialisation: Fashion
The designing and production instruction focus on acquiring different practices found across the board within the fashion design profession. The student will become familiar with different notions of creativity (fashion trends, researching of ideas, mens and womens accessories collections, product positioning/placement, communication/public relations...), as well as a familiarisation with production techniques (model creation, approaches to model creating, workshops in seam and tissue creation). Analysis of preproduction processes and production work provide the student with valuable insights into technologies and cultures that are both fundamental and practical. Specialisation: Textiles, Materials, Surfaces
The student develops and creates textures, surfaces, colours, designs and patterns applied to the world of fashion, of textiles and of the environment. This programme focuses on acquiring an adequate understanding of materials, focusing espcially on a "textile culture" found in the fields of: fabric design, design of the placement of cuts/seams, of printing, of lace, of embroiderie, etc... The diversity of the fashion professions is a reason why, in this case, it's best to acquire a solid general, technical, and artistic culture in order to know what one is best at and what one would like to do.
