Overview of the academic programme
To create highly qualified technical assistants for the transport sectors. It's also possible, by doing this BTS, to become employed in the commercial (sales) sector. The BTS in Transport academic program focuses on understanding the different types of contracts connected with transport: on a national or international level, of moving, of the renting/ leasing of automobiles ... This program treats all the regulations of this profession as well as the regulations of certain individuals within it: couriers, transporters, those operating on commission, or renters.
Degree awarded
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, the student is awarded with a BTS Transport degree (a state-sanctioned degree equivalent to Bac+2).
Career possibilities for those who have earned a BTS in Transport degree
In commercial trucking companies ; independent transport contractor; in land/surface-based transport companies working on commission (national or multinational), renting (industrial vehicles), specialised transport (moving, transport of goods at a specified temperature). For the positions of vehicle depot supervisor, d’affrètement?, customer service (after sales), ?chef de trafic ou de ca- mionnage, agent de transitâ€?¦ The student has the possibility to continue his studies in order to specialise in a specific type of transport (international, maritime, air) or in transport logistics : additional instruction in management of transport operations logistics or the European transport network.
