The Mastering of Languages

The ability to be proficient in English is an important asset for those students desiring an international career, as well as for those students seeking management positions. Students whose native language is not French are required to become proficient in French, in the event that they are not yet so. This is especially the case if the student seeks a French (i.e. not European) degree.

Studying English / French at Icoges

Students engage in conversation work based on themes relative to the particular academic program, in addition to acquiring knowledge of idiomatic expressions, and working on correct pronunciation and accent reduction.

Grammar

Icoges uses a highly interactive approach to learning the necessary grammar.

Reading and Writing at Advanced Levels

Students read a sampling of the main texts relative to their particular academic program and learn how to write a critical analysis of a given text.

Oral Communication at Advanced Levels

To be able to express oneself effectively with confidence is an important asset. To help Icoges students acquire the tools they need to do so, students learn how best to present their ideas; to synthesize the main points of a discussion; and finally, to speak with confidence in a group setting.
